The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has listed several recalled items from children’s toys to popular household products that might be gifted or re-gifted this holiday season.

The products below have been recalled due to safety or ineffectiveness reasons.

Hallmark Frosted balsam jar candles

On its website, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said this product was sold at, “Norman’s Hallmark stores in New Jersey and Pennsylvania from September 2019 through December 2019 for about $28.” (WWMT/CPCS)

According to its website, CPSC has instructed consumers to immediately stop using the recalled candles and return them to the store where purchased for a full refund of the purchase price and a $10 Hallmark Gold Crown gift card.

Hazard according to CPSC: The battery cover can detach and expose the button-cell batteries, posing choking and ingestion hazards to young children.

According to its website, CPSC has instructed consumers to immediately stop using the recalled magic wands, place them out of the reach of children and return them to the store where purchased for a refund.

Hazard according to CPSC: The fork steering tube on the bicycles and frame sets can crack or break during use, posing a fall hazard.

According to its website, CPSC has instructed consumers to immediately stop using recalled bicycles and contact their local BMC authorized dealer for a free inspection and free replacement fork.

Hazard according to CPSC: The gas regulator hose with the attached fuel gauge can melt if it comes in contact with the bottom of the grill’s firebox, posing a fire hazard.

Hazard according to CPSC: The recalled front bicycle rack can loosen and contact the front wheel, posing crash and injury hazards to the rider.

According to its website, CPSC has instructed consumers to stop using the recalled bicycle racks immediately and contact the bike shop or online retailer where it was originally purchased to arrange for a free repair.

Hazard according to CPSC: The front fender can fall onto the front wheel and stop the bicycle suddenly, posing a fall hazard to the rider.

According to its website, CPSC has instructed consumers to immediately stop using the recalled bicycle and take it to a Trek retailer for a free inspection and repair.

Hooey children’s sweatshirts with drawstrings

Hazard according to CPSC: A drawstring in the sweatshirt hood poses a strangulation hazard to children. Drawstrings can become entangled or caught on playground slides, handrails, school bus doors or other moving objects, posing a significant strangulation hazard to children.

Recall date: Nov. 12, 2019

According to its website, CPSC has instructed consumers to immediately take the recalled sweatshirts away from children and remove the drawstring to eliminate the hazard.

Series I power adapters for Skylight digital photo frames

Hazard according to CPSC: The power adapter casing can break when plugged into an electrical outlet, exposing its metal prongs, posing an electrical shock hazard.

According to its website, CPSC has instructed consumers to immediately stop using the recalled bassinets and contact DaVinci for a free repair kit that includes new support legs. In the meantime, parents are urged to remove the support legs and use the bassinet on a safe space on the floor or to find an alternate, safe sleeping environment for the child, such as a crib that meets current safety standards.
